FEAST OF ST STEPHEN THE KING

20 August 2026

A festive programme at the Archabbey.

ORDER OF WORSHIP IN THE BASILICA

Liturgical hours

The community's day is built around the divine office — from before dawn until evening. Visitors are welcome to join the prayers in the basilica.

IN THE BASILICA

Midday prayer is open to anyone

The community's prayer is not a closed event. Visitors may join the midday office — weekdays at 13:00, fifteen minutes: no booking, and no need to know when to say what. Sitting at the back is enough.

Joining in

The midday prayer is the easiest occasion to attend: it lasts fifteen minutes and needs no booking. The Sunday conventual mass is celebrated in Latin with Gregorian chant — it is public and open to all.

Please observe

The divine office is not a performance but the prayer of the community. Please arrive quietly and refrain from photography during services. The visitor route is partly restricted while services are in progress.
