FEAST OF ST STEPHEN THE KING

20 August 2026

A festive programme at the Archabbey.

CHILD PROTECTION

A safe environment for everyone

The Archabbey and its institutions are committed to keeping the children and young people in their care safe. This page sets out who to turn to if you have any concern.

The Protection Committee

The Archabbey has a Protection Committee, established by Archabbot Cirill T. Hortobágyi in accordance with church law. Its members are Hugó Matusz, prior, and Dr Gabriella Palotai, psychiatrist.

How to report a case

If you have a suspicion, an experience or any other concern relating to abuse or misconduct, please tell us. A report can be made through the reporting form or by contacting a member of the Protection Committee. Every report is treated in confidence.

Raising a concern is not an accusation: its purpose is to have the situation examined properly. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the authorities first.

Making a report

If you suspect abuse, you can report it through the reporting form or to a member of the Protection Committee. Every enquiry is treated in confidence. If someone is in immediate danger, call 112.
